We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join a cutting-edge, rapidly expanding accountancy practice in the heart of Chichester. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to become an essential part of our clients dynamic team.

What You’ll Be Doing:In this diverse and fast-paced role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering top-notch bookkeeping services to an impressive portfolio of clients. You’ll collaborate closely with our team of accountants to ensure every task is completed accurately and on time, all while managing workflows and meeting essential deadlines.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:- Performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns.  - Preparing and reviewing monthly CIS returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy every step of the way.  - Registering clients with HMRC Government Gateway and managing their submissions seamlessly.  - Producing insightful monthly or quarterly management accounts.  - Reviewing client bookkeeping, offering invaluable suggestions for efficiencies, and advising on best practices.  - Building and nurturing strong client relationships to ensure exceptional service delivery.  - Assisting management with various ad-hoc duties to support the team.  

Who We’re Looking For:- You bring at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a practice environment.  - You possess solid proficiency in Xero, Sage, and Dext, with experience in QuickBooks and various VAT schemes being a notable advantage.  - Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you thrive in a structured, deadline-oriented environment.  - You have strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills to handle diverse client needs effectively.  - An AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent is preferred, but qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
