As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll have the flexibility to choose between a four- or five-day week, benefit from a paid lunch break, and work one day from home.   • Managing financial data, processing invoices and updating ledgers in Xero
  • Preparing quarterly management accounts and assisting with year-end
  • Overseeing payroll for around 50 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Producing cashflow reports and financial projections
  • Liaising with councils regarding funding
  • Leading the transition to a direct debit payment system
  • Attending occasional bank meetings with the Director
  • Supporting office administration as needed
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Senior Bookkeeper / Bookkeeper / Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant
  • Strong skills with Xero and Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
  • The ability to take ownership of financial processes and work independently
  • A detail-oriented approach with strong communication skills, especially when liaising with families and colleagues
  • Ideally, experience within healthcare, though this is not essential
