- Managing financial data, processing invoices and updating ledgers in Xero
- Preparing quarterly management accounts and assisting with year-end
- Overseeing payroll for around 50 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Producing cashflow reports and financial projections
- Liaising with councils regarding funding
- Leading the transition to a direct debit payment system
- Attending occasional bank meetings with the Director
- Supporting office administration as needed
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Senior Bookkeeper / Bookkeeper / Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant
- Strong skills with Xero and Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- The ability to take ownership of financial processes and work independently
- A detail-oriented approach with strong communication skills, especially when liaising with families and colleagues
- Ideally, experience within healthcare, though this is not essential
- Flexible working hours (35 hours per week, paid lunch break)
