HGV Intersite Driver | Up to £40,872 base salary | Chichester

As an HGV Intersite Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods between Natures Way Foods sites, ensuring accurate and safe handling of cargo. You’ll work closely with site teams and follow a regular schedule to meet intersite transfer demands. The role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety standards.

Shift pattern

Shifts on a rolling 3-week basis (4 days on 2 days off). Shift patterns currently are:

Shift 1) 6.00 - 18.00

Shift 2) 18.00 - 6.00

Shift 3) 8.45 - 20.45

Shift 1 and 2 involves inter-site/factory transfers of various goods and materials all on the Chichester food park using our Terberg shunter and refrigerated trailers.

Shift 3 involves using our Renault tractor unit & refrigerated trailer for inter-site collections & deliveries between the Selsey & Food park factories, along with other local produce & crate collections where required.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely transport goods between company sites, adhering to all road and transport regulations
  • Ensure timely, efficient, and secure handling of all goods
  • Perform routine vehicle checks and report any issues
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and transfers
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and the transport team to ensure smooth logistics operations

Person Specification

  • Should hold a clean Class 1/C+E licence and driver CPC
  • Proven experience as a Lorry Drive, preferably with intersite or similar multi-location driving experience
  • Strong understanding of transport and road safety regulations
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a strong commitment to teamwork
