Our client, a forward thinking established firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join their growing team in Chichester on a hybrid basis, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

In this role you will manage and maintain a diverse portfolio of clients from sole traders to multi-million-pound companies.

Duties will include:-

  • Planning and prioritising client Accounts work and being responsible for setting and adhering to budgets and deadlines.
  • Preparation and delegation of key client Accounts work.
  • Supervising the progress of work and maintaining effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates on the advancement of tasks.
  • Work directly with clients to develop those relationships and expand advisory services delivered.
  • Opportunities to represent the firm at networking events to build our profile locally
  • Ensure timely preparation of bills for own client Accounts work and ensure they are promptly sent to the client.
  • Liaising with Managers and junior staff members.

They are ideally looking for someone with previous practice experience of at least 3 years with a good technical knowledge of accounts, as well as holding a professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA or they would consider someone QBE. You will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

An understanding of systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS would be an advantage.
