Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine histopathology laboratory tasks with a focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores).
  • Carry out routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra.
  • Ensure quality control and maintain high standards in specimen processing.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in Histology or Cellular Pathology.
  • Experience in histopathology laboratory procedures, particularly in microtomy and staining.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols meticulously.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Leica Spectra staining systems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a busy laboratory environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
