Our client is a household name in the composite industry in the UK and overseas. As part of continued growth, they are recruiting a Composite Inspector for their nightshift on a permanent basis.

Based within theInspection team and reporting to the Inspection Team Leader and Quality Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that all parts are inspected for quality in a timely manner in order to meet customer demand and to maintain quality throughout the production process

The role tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • To carry out inspections of all composite components and machined parts.
  • Proactively engaging with all aspects of the manufacturing process in order to ensure that quality standards and customer requirements are met at all times.
  • Flag up all technical issues internally or externally to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the QM for continued maintenance and internal integration of the Quality Management System ensuring ongoing compliance to ISO 9001
  • To assist with other duties such as despatch, etc

Our client requires the following experience to consider applications:

  • Relevant Engineering Qualification
  • Crucial to this role is a very good understanding of all composites manufacturing procedures and processes
  • Previous experience within the Composite and or machining industry
  • Experience and understanding of hand-based inspection techniques
  • NDT Ultrasonic
  • CMM programming and operational experience
  • Use of and experience of programming in PC-DMIS
  • Polyworks/CAM Measure 10 experience desirable.
  • Use of FARO arms or equivalent desirable

If your experience is not quite matching the above, our client is prepared to hire the right person on a dayshift basis, be given full training until competent enough to be left to work on Nights alone
