Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Histology Technician to join our Histopathology Laboratory. The role will primarily involve working with routine histopathology processes, focusing on the microtomy sectioning and routine staining techniques. Key responsibilities include:

  • Microtomy Sectioning: Perform all aspects of sectioning, including standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores.
  • Routine H&E Staining: Conduct routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining using Leica Spectra equipment.
  • Histology Laboratory Work: Assist in other general aspects of the Histopathology Laboratory, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy in all procedures.
  • Specimen Handling: Process and prepare tissue samples for examination under the microscope.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with pathologists and laboratory colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and efficient specimen processing.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Histology and Cellular Pathology within a laboratory setting.
  • Proficient in microtomy techniques, including sectioning of standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores.
  • Experience in routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra or similar equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as required.
