Occupational Health Advisor | Up to £50,000 annual salary | Annual Bonus | Chichester
We are currently looking for an Occupation Health Advisor to join our fantastic team in Chichester, West Sussex. This role plays a key part in promoting a healthy workplace by providing comprehensive occupational health support across the company. You’ll be managing absence and ill-health referrals, conducting job-specific health surveillance, and leading a well-being program to enhance the overall health of our team. You’ll also educate and raise awareness about critical health risks and preventive measures, ensuring everyone feels supported in their well-being journey. This position supports all employees and relevant agency staff, enabling a healthier, safer, and more informed workforce.
This role offers the flexibility of working either 4 or 5 days per week, with 1 of those days being from home.

Responsibilities
- Action and progress management referrals for short-term, long-term sickness absence and workplace injury
- Make suitable and appropriate recommendations regarding rehabilitation programs or work adjustments
- Manage and support the program of employment and periodic health surveillance and statutory medicals for all employees and agency staff with 3 months service or more
- Line management of an Occupational Health Nurse employed by the company
- Design and deliver a health promotion / well-being program aimed at educating and improving the health of Natures Way staff
- Offer general medical advice in a walk in capacity
- Maintain up to date OH records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive medical information
- Develop, review and revise OH policies and procedures
- Monitor performance of the service and provide a spreadsheet to the people team after each period
- Undertake appropriate continuous performance development (CPD) training in line with revalidation requirements
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with an occupational health Diploma or degree
- Driven by continuous improvement, with expertise in tools and techniques to lead health improvement programs focused on reducing workplace health risks
- Calm, self-directed, and adaptable in a changing environment, providing stability and guidance to site management
- Occupational health leadership experience with strong communication skills
- Proven success in enhancing business performance through structured occupational health initiatives
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Occupational Health databases
- Team player with the confidence to lead OH and drive health and well-being culture change
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments, including shift work
- Effective communicator with colleagues at all levels
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Experience working across multiple sites
