Lavant Equestrian is a long-standing, highly successful and well-respected business, positioned within the beautiful rural environment of the Southdowns National Park, just north of the cathedral city of Chichester.

We are seeking a skilled General Manager with a minimum of three years managerial experience in the leisure, recreation and/or retail sectors. Whilst equine knowledge is not essential, this unusual, highly responsible and influential role will suit someone who appreciates the benefits of working outside in a stunning, countryside location, whilst being surrounded by animals as much as people.

The General Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the three core areas of the business. This will involve organising and over-seeing forty staff to consistently deliver the highest standard of customer care to our loyal and appreciative client base of circa four hundred weekly returning members.

To do this proven experience as a first class organiser, motivator and inspirational leader will be required; with the ability to keep everyone focussed on the business aims, for the benefit of all, whilst the business continues to thrive and grow.

This is a fascinating, fast-paced and influential role, where no two days are ever the same. It will suit someone who relishes (and is used to) this level of day-to-day responsibility and involvement, whilst enjoying intermingling and assisting interesting and enthusiastic people, not only within the team but also importantly within our educated and informed client base.

Please contact the Stables Office for an application pack for completion and return to us within three working days.
