Infinity Employment are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/ Packer to join our client based in Chichester specialising in electrical accessories. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately picked/packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Some heavy lifting involved. Must be computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills as reading and writing will be required. Knowledge of excel and using apps is essential.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company standards before packing.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels within the warehouse.
- Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage orders.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy items.
- Engage in picking and packing tasks, ensuring accurate order fulfilment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or packing role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures is beneficial.
- Experience using warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Once you have successfully completed your 12 week Temp- Perm period, you will have an increase in pay.
