Overview

Development Kitchen Assistant | Up to £26,000 | Clear progression path | Chichester

Within our development kitchen is where the magic really happens. Bringing to life vibrant salad and fresh food combinations, refreshing existing product ranges and developing exciting new products to delight our customers. Our Development Kitchen Assistant will support the activities within the development kitchen and help maintain the smooth running of all kitchen activity.

This is an entry level role which will give you access to learning shelf-life testing, manufacturing processes, artwork creation, ingredient declarations and nutritional claims. You will be fully supported and mentored by our Development Chef and the wider team.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

  • Production of high-quality kitchen samples, within current or future factory capability
  • Co-ordinate and collect raw materials and packaging from our factories and ensure appropriate stock rotation
  • Shop for benchmark products, samples, launches and replenishment of kitchen supplies
  • Manage courier bookings, mitigate additional spend by consolidating deliveries where possible
  • Support the Team to update and maintain our recipe system
  • Support the Team in preparation of customer presentation paperwork
  • Support the Team to provide Lunches and Showcases for key customers and suppliers visiting us
Qualifications

The person

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Driving Licence& access to a car
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative
  • Basic culinary and food hygiene skills
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Organised, with the ability to plan multiple tasks
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
