Production Planner | Up to £40,000 | Clear Progression Pathway | Chichester

Take the lead in crafting and managing a dynamic production plan that aligns with our company’s goals for achieving sales targets and staying within financial budgets. Collaborate closely with department leads to coordinate daily planning activities, ensuring seamless production operations. Play a key role in delivering high-quality products that are cost-effective, meet strict quality standards, and are ready for distribution within agreed timelines. Key responsibilities

  • Communicate daily production schedules to ensure efficiency and address capacity challenges
  • Align materials and packaging supply schedules to prevent shortages, quickly escalating supply issues when necessary
  • Collaborate with production teams on schedule adjustments, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full
  • Monitor and report on production progress, sales data, and potential risks, working to minimise waste and optimise resources
  • Identify and address recurring supply issues, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Investigate production challenges to support effective customer communications and drive growth
  • Provide regular updates to line managers on potential opportunities or risks impacting the business

Requirements

  • Experience in high volume production planning and raw materials in FMCG
  • Knowledge of production processes, ideally in fresh/chill operations.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Proficiency in MRP systems
  • Mathematical skills with the ability to evaluate and analyse data
  • Knowledge of supply chain and distribution management
  • Flexible working approach
