The ideal candidate will have general computer literate and either familiar with, or prepared to undertake training in respect of, the current computer system and case management systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, Tikit, Big Hand and related applications.

Job Role:

To work as an Assistant Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive in the Real Estate and Business Services Department under the supervision of the Partners.

Key Tasks (Not Exhaustive):

  • To deal with transactional property work including Landlord and Tenant matters; general commercial matters; development work including residential development; residential Landlord and Tenant matters; agricultural tenancy matters; and complex property related documents.
  • To supply services to business including business acquisitions and disposals by way of either asset or share structures; advising on straightforward partnership agreements, shareholders agreements; and general advice in support of business services.
  • To liaise and work with the Property Litigation Department in respect of matters with contentious element.
  • To liaise and work with external third-party providers in respect of matters with a complex element outside of scope of our retainer.
  • To report to the Partners in charge of non-contentions business as the appropriate office.
  • To keep up to date and develop your knowledge of the appropriate areas of law and legal practice and to obtain the appropriate CPD points.
  • To liaise with the Partners and attend meetings as and when appropriate.
  • To be aware of the opportunities to develop the business of the firm.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate that you have the appropriate competencies to deal with your work and that you have good written and verbal communication skills; and you will be expected to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
