Property Accounts Assistant

Salary: £26k - £30k DOE + Company benefit scheme

Location: Chichester (office based)

Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am - 17.00pm - 9.00 - 17.30pm (Can be flexible for the right candidate on hours, pay etc.)

Do you have a background within accounts and property and want to work for a highly reputable and well-established organisation that offers a great working environment and the opportunity to take further study? If so, I have a great opportunity for you to join a busy accounts team working for a proactive property company based in Chichester.

You will ideally have a background in property accounts and have dealt with service charge accounts and ground rent invoices, however it is not a necessity. This role is working within a busy property organisation so you will need to be flexible and happy to assist other departments with overflow phone calls, admin and booking in appointments if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in day-to-day queries from clients.
  • Invoicing service charge demands.
  • Preparing block service charge accounts.
  • Credit control - arrears.
  • Reconciling block bank accounts.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Sales & purchase ledger.
  • Assist with block budgets.
  • Estate management business accounts / payroll / vat returns.
  • LP1 Packs.
  • Insurance renewals.
  • Assisting the property managers with budgets, debtors, and credit control.

The right candidate will have the following skills to apply:

  • Previous experience within accounts, ideally within the property industry.
  • Ideally AAT level 2-3 qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good IT skills inclusive of Excel and have used accountancy software packages and CRM systems.
  • A willingness to learn different areas of the property business - full training will be given
  • Great communication and organisation sills and a strong team player.
  • Proactive and professional with a "can do" attitude.
