Our fabulous client based on the outskirts of Chichester, West Sussex is urgently seeking a Marketing Assistant to join their team for a temporary contract up to 6 months however, having now reviewed, our client may now be looking for a permanent member of the team.

Liaising closely with Senior Management, the successful applicant will support the business by developing and maintaining the marketing strategy for the business through strategic and operational delivery of marketing campaigns.


Main Responsibilities

To assess the relative efficiency and effectiveness of all the marketing media used

To devise and implement the agreed marketing plans

To create and place the advertisements in the appropriate media

To produce the relevant postcards for distribution in a timely manner

To generate and coordinate the PR activity for the business

To plan and execute the agreed event programme

To keep the consistent production and presentation of signage and point of sale, banners, etc.

To coordinate the design and content of the company websites, social media, news, blogs, etc.

To manage website CMS and update articles, newsletters, job vacancies, etc.

To lead the development of the social media marketing campaign

To monitor all social media accounts and review sites e.g. TripAdvisor, Facebook

To analyse and report on the effectiveness of all social media and event activity

To build relevant contact databases for groups to build business outside peak times

To be the first point of contact, lead and coordinate all community involvement activity

To carry out preparation, dress out stage, book entertainers, manage bookings, etc. for company events

To constantly seek out new ways of promoting the business as mailshots, exhibitions, magazines, etc. & keep communication with new clients

To keep under review competitor marketing activity and trends and respond accordingly

To undertake any other tasks requested by the Operations Manager


Required skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good organisational skills with accurate copywriting and proofing skills

Excellent at prioritising, hitting deadlines and ability to work under pressure

At least 2 years marketing experience with a relevant marketing/communications qualification

Accomplished campaign co-ordination skills

A proven track record of managing multiple marketing channels


The working hours will be Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week with an hourly pay rate of £14.20 per hour with free parking.


This is an immediate start for the successful applicant with interviews taking place on Wednesday 11th September.
