As a key member of the team, reporting to the Project Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting the management of onsite projects. Your responsibilities will include a range of tasks from site surveys and technical specifications to quoting, delivery, and commissioning.
Ensuring compliance with onsite health and safety standards is essential in this role, and you will be expected to adhere to the company’s policies and procedures for quality (ISO 9001), the environment (ISO 14001), and health & safety (ISO 45001).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to liaise with clients, assess new and existing project requirements, and perform detailed site surveys.
- Create technical specifications based on client requirements, including documenting site details and taking photographs, then working with the Project Manager to refine the specification.
- Input all survey data, including photographs, into the job costing system to ensure full transparency.
- Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing, including labor and materials, and prepare a comprehensive scope of work and cost breakdown. Collaborate with the Project Manager to finalize and present specifications and pricing to the Tendering Department.
- Following client approval, assist the Project Manager in procuring materials and organizing site attendance with subcontractors, ensuring POs are raised by the Planning Coordinator.
- Support the creation of job-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and any necessary client-specific health and safety documentation.
- Assist with client meetings and coordinate sitework team activities.
- Conduct site visits to ensure that the project team adheres to RAMS, company policies, and client guidelines.
- Ensure all subcontractors provide their own RAMS and comply with safety protocols while working on-site.
- Support onsite commissioning as needed, and prepare QA packs or commissioning documents for Project Manager approval.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Operations Manager regarding any workshop-based activities that are part of the project scope.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (desired).
- Experience or a background in engineering, particularly in Water Utilities and/or the Power Industry.
- Familiarity with onsite health and safety regulations.
- Confined space training or awareness (desired)
- Water Hygiene training or a basic understanding of water hygiene (desired)
- Strong communication skills for both client meetings and site team coordination.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- A full UK driving license.
- Full-time role (40 hours per week).
