Our client, a prominent entity in the water sector, is currently seeking a diligent and focused Project Manager to join their team in Chichester. This permanent role presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals skilled in mechanical and electrical disciplines to enhance their careers within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend site and liaise with clients to survey new and existing client enquiries and jobs
- Interpret full client requirements during site surveys and build a detailed specification, including all site survey information and photographs
- Enter all site survey information, including photos, onto the company job costing system for full transparency
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist sub-contractors to produce pricing for the job/project, including company man-hours, and produce a detailed scope and pricing document
- Upon award, procure all materials and liaise with specialist sub-contractors, coordinating with the Planning Co-Ordinator/Administrator for PO requests
- Compile and issue job/project specific RAMS and any client-specific health and safety paperwork
- Attend necessary onsite client meetings prior to or during the sitework
- Kick-start the job/project with the sitework team where required
- Project manage the job, ensuring adherence to RAMS and both Mechanica and client onsite policies/procedures
- Ensure specialist sub-contractors issue, approve, and adhere to their RAMS when working onsite
- Assist with onsite commissioning and produce any necessary QA packs or commissioning documents
- Liaise with the Operations Manager to oversee any workshop activities as per project specifications and pricing models
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of onsite health and safety rules and regulations
- Confined space training or understanding (training can be provided)
- Water Hygiene training or understanding of sewerage/clean water hygiene (training can be provided)
- Engineering background with experience in Water Utilities and/or Power Industry
- Excellent communication skills for client meetings and site team instructions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
