OverviewOur client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a desire to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee food preparation processes and ensure that dishes are prepared to the highest quality.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on menu planning and inventory management.
  • Monitor financial performance and assist in achieving budgetary goals.
  • To ensure allergens book is kept up to date
  • Assist with the catering stock taking process
  • To assist with the planning and managing of group booking and special events
  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Catering Manager
  • Research new vendors and assist with Marketing ideas to increase footfall

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and customers.
  • Experience in supervising staff and fostering a positive work environment.
