Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Bar Supervisor at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a bank basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £13.92 per hour.

The Bar Supervisor role:

Chichester College is currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated Bar Supervisor to work in our Pavilion bar, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times by maintaining an exceptional standard of delivery and professionalism.

This is a flexible role which allows you to accept work assignments when convenient to you. Perhaps you want that perfect role to fit around university studies or family responsibilities or that ideal part time role to earn a bit of extra money?

This role will be used to cover for weekends and evenings. All hours are variable and subject to change, depending on rotas.

Applicants must be 18 years old or over.

Key Responsibilities of ourBar Supervisor :

  • To have key holding responsibilities including opening and closing the facilities.
  • Responsible for monitoring the actions and behaviour of customers to ensure no underage drinking and enforcing the rules of the bar.
  • Oversee the bar operations and bar stock control systems with regular stock checks and stock rotation undertaken.
  • To ensure the cleanliness, quality standards and safety of the work area.
  • To co-ordinate activities and resources as agreed with the hirer as part of the booking.
  • To supervise and train bar staff assessing their practical competence and feeding this back to management to develop a training plan.
  • Responsible for cash handling (when required) and daily cash up.
  • To ensure all correct signage is displayed as required when on shift specific to prices and measures and the licencing objectives. 

Our ideal Bar Supervisor should have the below skills and experience:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
  • Previous Bar experience or a customer facing role
  • Knowledge of Licensing Laws
  • Knowledge of Stock Handling & Stock Rotation
  • The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all ages and levels, verbally and in writing
