Engage Education are currently working in partnership with an all through school on an exciting new SEND TA position specifically to support learners with Complex Learning Difficulties and SEMH needs in the Chichester area.
Starting immediately, the school is looking for an outstanding SEND Teaching Assistant to join them on a long term temporary basis. If the role goes well there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent assignment.
It is a special school for children age 2-19 years with a range of special educational and complex learning needs including PMLD, SLD, and ASC.
If you are passionate about supporting children with complex additional needs, and have experience with children/adults with challenging and complex SEND/SEMH this opportunity could be ideal for you.
Your Role:

Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis often with complex learning needs

Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class

Providing feedback to teachers and parents
What you will need:

A range of behaviour management techniques

To have worked with learners with a range of needs

The ability to engage a young person in learning through a range of methods

To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time

A resilient attitude
