We are recruiting on behalf of our established legal client who are looking to expand their Conveyancing team.
This role involves dealing with all types of residential conveyancing whichincludes; Sales, Purchases, Re-mortgages, Stair-casing, Redeeming help to buy loans, transfer of equity, deed of trust and severance of joint tenancy.
Duties include:
- meeting and interviewing clients to establish the firm's suitability to provide the necessary advice and services, based on the firm's specialism and likely cost
- taking a client's instructions
- advising a client on the law and legal issues relating to their case
- drafting documents, letters and contracts tailored to the client's individual needs
- researching and analysing documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure
- coordinating the work of all parties involved
- corresponding with clients and opposing solicitors
- Working in a team
- Supervising and delegating work to trainee solicitors, paralegals and legal secretaries as appropriate
- arranging and attending further client meetings where necessary to progress with the case and finalise documentation
- checking all documentation prior to signing and implementing
- carrying out administrative duties
- keeping up to date with changes and developments in the law by reading journals and law reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good standard of GSCEs
- Good standard of A Levels
- Diplomas LLB (Hons)
- Previous Solicitor experience
- Conveyancing legal experience
- Practical experience of handling client enquiries both by telephone and face to face
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to manage the demands of numerous tasks
- Able to work on own initiative and within a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure information is accurate and complete
- Ensuring high level client care
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
