We’re excited to be recruiting for a prestigious client who is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team at one of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds. With 4 AA Red Stars and 3 AA Rosettes, this is an incredible opportunity to work in a beautiful, traditional yet friendly environment.
The Role: As Sous Chef, you’ll be working alongside the Head Chef in a busy, high-end kitchen, helping to create exciting and delicious dishes for the hotel’s 3 AA Rosette restaurant. You’ll need to be a hands-on chef who can lead from the front, develop your team, and maintain the high standards that this establishment is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing fresh, high-quality dishes
- Leading a section during service
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Writing allergen matrixes and completing daily kitchen audits
- Managing the kitchen team and rotas
- Ordering stock and managing inventory
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a fine-dining or rosette-awarded kitchen
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative cooking
- Excellent knowledge of allergens and food safety regulations
