Your new companyWe are currently working with a leading British supply chain solutions company who provide critical services including handling, distribution and storage and network optimisation for many of the UK's best known companies. They are on the lookout for an Accounting Assistant to join their ever-growing Financial Accounting team. If you're an up-and-coming accountant who is ready to kick-start your career and wants to join a fun, energetic and family-like team, then we'd love for you to apply!Your new roleAs an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

  • Fixed Asset Accounting including additions, disposals, adjustments, ACE Form Control
  • Fixed Asset inbox query management
  • Completion of ONS Returns
  • Capital expenditure Reporting & Back Checks Control
  • Provide support for the wider Finance team
  • Ensure continuous improvement and process improvement
  • Ensure Standard Operating procedures are up-to-date
  • Other accounting duties and projects as required by the team

What you'll need to succeed

  • Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/AAT)
  • Experience of completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Demonstrating teamwork and togetherness to achieve goals
  • Ability to identify process improvements that deliver quality/efficient benefits
  • Experience working under pressure, prioritising and managing competing deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate strong excel skills.
