Job Advertisement: Facilities and Maintenance ManagerAbout the RoleSeeking Facilities and Maintenance Manager to take on a senior role within our Chippenham site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of plant equipment and on-site services, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting the business across various departments. You will manage all aspects of the facilities, including office space, production areas, clean rooms, and maintenance services, as well as negotiate and manage contracted services. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities
- Provide support to all departments as needed, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage department resources efficiently, implementing a preventative maintenance strategy.
- Address emergencies or urgent issues promptly.
- Oversee department budget, ensuring maximum value for money and supporting business development.
Premises & Equipment
- Take overall responsibility for the monitoring and maintenance of production and plant equipment.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across all business areas.
- Project manage equipment refurbishments and installations, producing structured reports to identify deficiencies.
- Manage the stock of spare parts, ensuring adequate supplies for key processes and plant equipment.
- Plan space management strategies to optimize the use of current premises and resources.
Services
- Review and manage existing on-site services, ensuring service specifications are met.
- Negotiate and manage maintenance contracts.
- Supervise and coordinate contractor work, ensuring high standards and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Health & Safety and Quality Policies.
Leadership
- Demonstrate dynamic leadership and a proven track record of delivering results.
- Inspire and develop the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

- Previous experience in a senior facilities & maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- A flexible approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
