CASALI Recruitment Ltd are actively and urgently recruiting for a local Chippenham Based company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a passion for precision engineering. This role involves the production of high-quality components, ensuring adherence to specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting issues.
- Assemble components as required, ensuring all parts fit together correctly and function as intended.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for grinding, cutting, and shaping materials.
- Perform quality checks on finished products using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.(A minimum of 2 years experience is preferred).
- Experience working on Fanuc CNC machines is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting designs is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations are essential.
- Experience with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
