Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant - SN15

My client is seeking a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join their team, working primarily with Year 4-5 pupils in a nurturing village school setting. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners, work closely with an enthusiastic team, and enjoy the beautiful rural surroundings of this dual-site school. The working pattern of this role (including MDSA hours) will be as follows: Mon-Wed 8:30-1, Thu & Fri 1-2:30. This role is available on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year with the potential for this role to turn permanent!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting Year 4-5 pupils in a classroom setting, working with the whole class, small groups, or on targeted activities.
  • Assisting with lunchtime duties as a Midday Supervisory Assistant, ensuring positive play and a smooth lunchtime experience.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to provide flexible support across the school.
  • Occasionally working at the Lower Site (Reception to Year 2) to cover staff absences or support where needed.
  • Providing a calm and encouraging presence to help pupils reach their full potential.

  • Relevant experience working with primary-aged pupils, particularly in Key Stage 2.
