As a Finance Manager, you will be crucial in delivering timely and accurate financial reports while ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and company accounting policies. Reporting to group finance, you will oversee a team of three and collaborate with the wider finance team to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the financial reporting team, empowering them to achieve excellence.
  • Oversee the monthly preparation of consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
  • Review month-end reconciliations, suggest and implement process improvements, and highlight material financial risks.
  • Ensure alignment between management and statutory reporting, implementing necessary adjustments efficiently.
  • Maintain and review financial controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Manage the statutory reporting process, ensuring timely filing of accounts and a smooth audit process.
  • Act as the company's technical accounting lead, advising on changes to financial reporting standards and their impact on business operations.
  • Oversee UK statutory reporting and manage overseas reporting in collaboration with teams.
  • Support treasury processes, VAT returns, acquisitions, and financial insurance renewals.

About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Strong technical statutory reporting experience.
  • Experience managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor a finance team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to senior stakeholders.
