The Accounting Team Leader will be responsible for managing a small team of 2 and overseeing central recharges, balance sheet reconciliations, and other central accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate processes. Description
- Manage a small team and coordinate activities related to central recharges and recovery processes.
- Ensure compliance with journals and monitor corrections.
- Complete all relevant balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
- Handle queries and work towards reducing their volume.
- Provide support to the Management Accounts, Financial Accountant, and Financial Services Manager.
- Drive continuous improvement and process enhancements.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and process documentation.
- Lead and develop the team, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Oversee additional accounting duties and projects as required.
Profile
- Part-qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience in leading teams and managing projects.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing deadlines.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and accounting controls.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ability to foster collaboration and a culture of excellence within the team.
