Our client, a renowned international manufacturer is looking for aProduction Planner to join their team in Wiltshire.If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Production Planner to run the planning process for multiple departments. Reporting to the Supply Operations and Execution Manager, the Production Planner will be responsible for ensuring plans are produced in a timely manner to minimise any potential hit on service. The role will also include regularly cooperating with the production team in terms of delivery schedules and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Continues review of supply plans to ensure right product mix on stock and service level targets according to S&OE requirements.
  • Dealing with Import & Export requirements Raw Materials
  • Create, schedule and release Purchase/Production Orders
  • Giving input to S&OE in terms of potential supply issues, supplier constraints
  • Monthly review on stock takes
  • Ongoing improvements in planning process Kanban, WIP stores, SS etc
  • Development of knowledge in terms of relevant SAP master data
  • Keep driving decrease of slow-moving inventory
  • Proposals of improvements of SAP master data
  • To undertake structured and frequent review of inventory policies
  • Plan production lines efficiently in line with stock requirements and factory constraints
  • Effectively respond and resolve, where possible, performance and delivery issues
  • To contribute to the successful development of customer supply chain collaboration

Profile

  • Hold GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or 5 in Maths and English
  • Preferably degree educated in relevant business discipline
  • Hold GCSE (or equivalent) Grace C or 5 in Maths and English
  • Experienced planner / purchaser
  • Practical knowledge in supply planning processes
  • Knowledge and experience of Reporting & Analytics: SAP BO, MS Office
  • Strong SAP skills (preferably SAP R/3
