The OpportunityA well-established and growing law firm is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Paralegal to join its property department in Chippenham. The firm is currently investing in modern systems and practices to ensure continued success and exceptional client service.

The successful candidate will assist fee earners with a broad range of residential conveyancing matters, contributing to a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Accountabilities:The Conveyancing Paralegal will support fee earners with:

  • Drafting and sending out contract papers.
  • Preparing AP1’s and TR1’s.
  • Requesting and reviewing property searches.
  • Handling Land Registry and SDLT submissions.
  • Chasing outstanding enquiries and sending requisition statements.
  • Working closely with fee earners to support the department’s growth.
  • Managing a variety of residential transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold matters.

The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and online tools (e.g., SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications).
  • A positive and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • IT proficiency, particularly with conveyancing software and online platforms.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop professionally.
