Berkshire Talent Partnership are searching for a contract site manager to deliver a Battery Energy Storage plant in Wiltshire. This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity to extend and or move onto different projects within the portfolio.
Working with the PM as the Principal Contractor Site Rep for the project.
- Accountable for H&S performance for assignment projects and ensure that policies are implemented effectively and reporting on safety performance
- Suggest ways in which company can improve safety performance
- Develop the construction execution plans for the project
- Ensure compliance with the CDM regulations for the projects, including but not limited
- Preparation of the CPP
- Preparation of Traffic Management Plan
- Arranging adequate welfare
- Ensuring suitably qualified and experienced contractors/ staff are utilised on the project
- Ensuring permit to work, RAMS review procedures are implemented
- Contribute to project schedule development and monitoring and control of the schedule. Ensure the construction team provide short term lookaheadand hold daily and weekly coordination meetings.
- Providing assistance to the organisational leadership in delivering portfolio objectives
- Implement/ develop the project inspection and test plan including management of quality on the projects
- Resource Planning for projects
- Managing Risks and Issues
- Ensuring projects are closed out effectively and the various contractors discharge their obligations under the contract
- Oversight of contractor/ vendor H&S requirements, method statements and risk assessments
- Ensuring the company complies with the relevant legislation applicable to the projects
- Establishing effective communication with all project stakeholders
- Ensure the projects are being managed in accordance with the project execution plan and associated procedures
- At practical completion, co-ordinate handover and see that all appropriate inspections and tests are made.
- Closely monitor the contractors and take all steps necessary to mitigate the impact of claims under the relevant contracts
