About the RoleAcademics Ltd is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Dance Teacher to join a highly regarded, high-performing Performing Arts school in Swindon. This school boasts an outstanding reputation for its exceptional Performing Arts department, and the ideal candidate will have experience teaching Dance at GCSE and A-Level. As a Dance Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students, nurturing their creativity and passion for movement. We also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with robust mentorship and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Dance lessons at KS4 and KS5, inspiring students to excel in both technique and creativity.
  • Prepare and assess coursework, exams, and other assessments, ensuring students meet their academic goals.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, contributing to their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with fellow Performing Arts teachers to develop a dynamic and innovative curriculum.
  • Actively participate in school-wide events, including school productions, dance showcases, and professional development opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with relevant experience in Dance education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Dance curriculum at GCSE and A-Level, with the ability to teach a wide range of dance styles.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students to reach their full potential in Dance.
  • ECTs are welcome to apply, with excellent mentoring and support provided.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
