Summary
We are delighted to be working with a leading fundraising services provider operating from a cutting-edge facility near Chippenham. They are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Lithographic Printer to join their team.
Role:
To ensure that printed tickets are produced to the correct specification and that the instructions on the campaign brief are followed correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the Lithographic Press according to job instructions and specifications.
- Obtain sign-off from the studio before production.
- Monitor machine operations to maintain production and quality standards, adjusting as needed.
- Check print quality, sequential numbering, and report any issues with stock.
- Deliver completed jobs to enclosing departments on time and ensure high-quality work.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
Main Duties:
- Understand machine operation requirements and production deadlines.
- Report any issues affecting machine performance to the Production Manager.
- Strive for zero defects and seek ways to reduce waste.
- Suggest improvements for departmental efficiency.
- Notify the Production Manager of any work-related issues.
Requirements and Skills:
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Handles pressure well with a positive, adaptable attitude and complies with company policies.
Essential:
- Experience with five-colour Lithographic Printing Press.
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality procedures for ticket printing.
- Qualification in lithographic printing on a five-colour press.
Desirable:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
- City & Guilds or NVQ in Print Finishing.
- Experience as a machine operator.
