We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Chippenham area. The purpose of this role is to provide accounting support to the existing team and process transactions in an accurate and efficient manner. Â
Main Duties:
- Support Sales and Purchase Ledger to include posting onto Xero.
- Follow the Sales and Purchase Approval Process.
- Provide support across the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactional accounting areas.
- Assist in dealing with day-to-day customer and supplier queries.
- Assist in generating bi-monthly payment runs when required.
- Process expenses and credit card statements of employees.
- Complete basic balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the Finance Department e-mail system.
- Support other team members whenever required.
- Answer incoming calls and direct to the appropriate staff member or deal with Finance Department calls, as appropriate.
- Provide general administrative duties as required by the Finance Department.
The ideal candidate will be part of fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience and have at least 2 years’ experience in the same or similar role. Have a good amount of sales and purchase ledger experience, a high level of computer and numerical literacy, including packages such as Excel and Word (previous experience with Xero is desirable). The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have great attention to detail and a confident personality is a must.
