Due to the ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality education, I am seeking a dynamic and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join the dedicated team.

The Role: Currently searching for an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will have a passion for inspiring young minds and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across a range of design disciplines, including:

  • Key Stage 3 Design Technology: Developing students' foundational skills and understanding of the subject.
  • Key Stage 4 Design Technology: Preparing students for GCSEs, with a focus on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Design Technology to KS3 & KS4 students.
  • Foster creativity and innovation in students' design work.
  • Develop and implement engaging schemes of work that align with the curriculum.
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Support the development of students’ technical skills, including proficiency in resistance materials and graphic design.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including clubs and projects that enhance the students' learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Desirable: Experience with resistance materials and graphic design.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
