Exciting Opportunity in Maritime Consultant

Do you have a passion for the maritime defence sector and a knack for simplifying complex problems?

This is a unique chance to join a leading company (name confidential) and develop vital evidence for a range of maritime platforms, concepts, and technologies.

What you'll do:

  • Develop exploitation evidence, including cost estimates, models, and operational analysis.
  • Collaborate with teams at military and civil customer organizations.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver contracts ranging from one month to one year.
  • Analyse data, conduct research, and provide incisive advice to clients.
  • Work within multi-disciplinary teams across different locations.

Qualifications and Experience: (Specific qualifications are less important than the following skills and experience)

Essential:

  • Knowledge of the UK Maritime Defence market and supply chain.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis within the maritime domain.
  • Experience collecting, interpreting, and normalizing cost data.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of naval platform procurement approaches.
  • Ability to develop life cycle cost/schedule/risk estimates.
  • Experience with data visualization and presentation.
  • Knowledge of Whole Life cost estimating practices.
  • Understanding of MoD project controls and policies.
  • Experience with project, program, and portfolio management.
  • Prior experience working with the MoD or other government departments.
