Teaching Assistant - Resource Base / SEND Learning Support Assistant - SN15

My client, a vibrant and supportive primary school, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join their specialized Resource Base team. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting children with Communication and Interaction difficulties in the classroom and during targeted interventions.
  • Leading small group sessions and 1:1 interventions to promote learning and development.
  • Collaborating with the Resource Base Manager, teachers, and TAs to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and promoting the school’s Values for Life and Learning.
  • Contributing to planning, assessment, and feedback for individual student progress.
  • Providing care and support during lunch and break times.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Have proven experience supporting children with SEND, especially ASD or Communication and Interaction needs.
  • Excel in communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Be patient, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate ICT confidence and the ability to implement intervention strategies effectively.
