I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire who have an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their engineering facility. The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will work as part of a team and will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery onsite. Please note most of the work is outdoors, therefore candidates must be open to working in this environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ex-military engineer with a mechanical engineering bias, looking for job security. You will be joining a company operating in a niche industry with the opportunity to learn new skills. There are no shifts with this role, you will work Monday to Friday although you will participate in an on call rota to which you will receive an attractive callout allowance. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:
- Candidates must hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification to a minimum of level 2.
- Have strong mechanical engineering abilities.
- Basic electrical skills, able to fault find using test equipment and safely isolate equipment.
- Self-motivated, hardworking with a can-do attitude.
- Able to participate in an on call rota.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:
- Basic salary £36,000 - £40,000 DOE.
- Callout allowance – circa £5K per annum.
- Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours.
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
