We are excited to be working with a well-established SEMH school in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students aged 8-18 with SEMH needs, ADHD, Autism, and other associated learning difficulties.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Science Teacher to join their passionate team. You will play a key role in inspiring vulnerable young people through creative and differentiated Science lessons, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and tailored learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and accessible Science lessons to students with SEMH and additional needs.
  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally, fostering resilience and a love for learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages progress.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs of students, integrating life skills and practical learning.
  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and external professionals to create a collaborative learning community.
  • Encouraging curiosity, scientific inquiry, and hands-on learning opportunities in Science.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ADHD, or Autism.
  • A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques to engage and support students with challenging behaviour.
  • A passion for making Science accessible and relevant to vulnerable students, encouraging them to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative school environment.
