Job Title: Stores/Warehouse Operative


Duration: 5-Month Contract


2 positions Available.

Both on days during December.
January - April will be 1 on days, 1 on nights.


Shift Timing:

December:

8:30 to 17:00 with 30 min lunch. Mon to Fri
Closed from 24th to the 2nd Jan

January to April requirement:

Days 08:30 to 17:00 Mon to Fri
Nights 17:00 to 01:30 Mon to Fri


Hourly Rate: Up to £23 per hour


Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Stores/Warehouse Operative to join our team on a 5-month contract for a late shift position. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, organizing warehouse space, and ensuring the smooth operation of our storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, and properly store incoming products
  • Perform inventory controls and maintain high accuracy in stock handling
  • Organize warehouse space for optimal utilization
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, following safety guidelines
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers effectively
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding the warehouse operation


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a warehouse worker or similar role preferred
  • Proficient in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Flexibility to work the specified late shift hours (12:00 PM - 11:00 PM) four days a week (Tuesday to Friday)
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
