Role : Prescription Clerk

We are working with a lovely GP Practice in Ongar who require the support of a Prescription Clerk on a 9 month contract this can be on a temp to perm basis or a straight contract role.
Duties include (but not limited to)
- Process repeat medication requests, including adding, altering and printing throughout the day.
- Process acute prescriptions with support from the GP and pharmacists as and when required.
- Expedite urgent prescriptions to help ensure a safe and responsive service for patients.
- Handle prescription queries and answer prescription-related queries from patients.
- Communicate with patients, carers, and other health agencies over the phone to answer queries and complete requests for medication.
- Liaise with duty doctor to ensure requests for prescriptions are handled in a timely way.
- Ensure the service provided by the Prescription Department is effective, efficient, and accurate.
- Have a thorough knowledge of and be able to diligently apply all Practice procedures and protocols accurately.
Our client requires someone who can hit the ground running with a good working knowledge of SystmOne, and previous experience working within a GP surgery, along with an excellent telephone manner and customer services skills.
Temporary pay rate : 12.82 per hour
Permanent pay rate : 11.44 per hour
