Are you a Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering excellence? We are recruiting for a leading Tier One Property Services Contractor based in Orpington, offering flexible working and a salary of up to £55,000 plus a range of benefits.

About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all financial and technical aspects of painting and decorating contracts on social housing properties. From procurement to payment, your focus will be on minimising costs and maximising value. You will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring their financial performance and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
  • Managing project financials and subcontractor accounts
  • Producing and submitting applications for payment
  • Cost management, margin improvement, and cash collection
  • CVR reporting and forecasting
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements
  • Developing and maintaining subcontract and supplier contracts

About You:
You’ll bring a professional qualification such as HNC, HND, or Degree in a related field, along with a solid background in construction contracts or refurbishment. Experience with bill of quantities, schedules of rates, and contract management is crucial. You will also have excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong focus on teamwork.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in commercial management and subcontractor procurement
  • Proficiency in monthly reporting and cost management
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to lead, support, and collaborate with a commercial team
