Accounts Payable Finance Assistant
Location: Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30
Salary: £26,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
Contract: Temp to Perm
We are recruiting an Accounts Payable Finance Assistant on behalf of our client in Chipping Warden. This role involves managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate invoice processing, reviewing supplier statements, and handling timely payment runs. Previous accounts payable experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase ledger invoices from receipt to payment.
- Allocate payments, review supplier accounts, and resolve debit balances.
- Generate payment run reports for review.
- Manage urgent payments and resolve disputes.
- Assist with travel and fuel expense processing.
- Monitor and manage the finance email account.
- Provide general finance support, including covering for holidays.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Accounts Payable experience is essential, preferably within the automotive or logistics sector.
- High attention to detail and accurate numerical work.
- Strong Excel skills and general IT knowledge.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet financial deadlines.
- GCSE Maths (Grade C or above).
- Experience with SAGE 200 is advantageous.
