Position:Trainee Vehicle Mechanic / Technician
Location:Chipping Warden
Schedule:Monday to Friday, Full-time (Temp to perm)
Working Hours:07:00 - 16:00 (1 hour break)
Weekends and Bank Holidays:Occasional weekend availability (optional)
Responsibilities;
- Safely and efficiently move vehicles around yard
- Ensure vehicles are road legal before leaving site.
- Fault finding of vehicles
- Complete necessary paperwork and log all deliveries accurately ensuring vehicle defects/damages prior to dropping off/collecting are recorded.
- Jump starting vehicles, reconditioning of batteries & pumping tyres.
- Using the system to book vehicles in and out.
Requirements;
- Exceptional customer service levels.
- Great attitude to work
- Fluent in written and verbal English.
- MUST have a least a level 2 in motor mechanics
Skills;
- Ability to drive a variety of brand new vehicles from small to large, including manual and automatic transmission.
- Ability to book cars in and out using in house IT system.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
