Job Title: Senior Meds Carer

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experiencedSenior Meds Carerto join one of our residential & nursing home based in Chislehurst. As a Senior Meds Carer, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe and efficient administration of medications, providing leadership, and offering hands-on care to our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who is looking to take on a leadership role in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with care plans and medication policies
  • Ensure accurate medication records are kept and regularly reviewed
  • Lead and support the care team in the safe management of medications
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior staff members on medication handling
  • Assist with the delivery of personal care as required
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for residents
  • Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a senior care role, with a focus on medication management
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential
  • Medication administration training and certification
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care
  • Ability to lead, support, and motivate a team of carers
  • A clear DBS check
  • Must be able to do Meds
