This is a fantastic chance to dive into the nitty-gritty of commercial dispute resolution. What you’ll be doing: You’ll be right there in the action, supporting seasoned insurance specialists as they work through claims from start to finish. This means:
  • Building Relationships: Chatting with lawyers, supply chain & logistics companies, and more.
  • Guiding Clients: Offering advice and support.
  • Organising and Negotiating: Keeping everything running smoothly and negotiating settlements.
  • Documenting: Preparing and handling all necessary paperwork and correspondence.
On a day to day:
  • Processing new claim notifications and investigating cases (like Salvage, Recovery, and General).
  • Reviewing and assessing cases to provide guidance.
  • Collecting and organising documents for submission to various parties.
  • Monitoring the progress of cases and legal deadlines.
  • Negotiating settlements based on legal and commercial terms.
  • Ensuring top-notch service to our clients.
  • Helping with marketing efforts for the department and company.
  • Keeping our systems updated in a 'paper-light' environment.
  • Building strong working relationships with industry professionals.
What we’re looking for:
  • A recent graduate with an undergraduate degree or equivalent, Law degree will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Someone who’s organised and good at managing their time.
  • A persuasive communicator, both in writing and speaking.
  • A negotiator who can think on their feet.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Friendly and helpful!
