This is an opportunity for a passionate and driven professional to join a small team as the new Management Accountant, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Our client is looking for an experienced, organised and detail-oriented individual with a constant improvement mentality and motivation to get involved in day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate must have professional qualifications - AAT Level 4, CIMA/ACCA/ACA part or qualified. Plus, you will need experience in a commercial environment that includes Purchase & Sales Order Processing and Cashbook management within a busy environment.


Furthermore, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong controls and process experience to make this role your own and lead form the front on all financial matters of the business.


Specific duties as Management Accountant will include:

Daily, weekly and monthly sales, stock and vendor reporting.

Management accounts preparation for the two Group companies, including the management information pack.

Period-end balance sheet reconciliations.

P&L variance analysis and investigations.

TAX/VAT returns.

Maintaining and improving Financial Controls within the business.

Assisting with the stock management processes and warehouse personnel.

Development of reporting of KPIs.

Working with business managers to deliver outstanding service to our customers.

Very occasional cashbook posting and Bank reconciliation.


In addition, the ideal candidate will be highly organised with excellent problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills that enable them to present their financial information clearly. They should be commercially minded and understand how businesses operate financially within the industry.
