Search Consultancy is working with a fantastic company based in Chorley. Our client is an award-winning construction company who have grown rapidly the past year and are looking to expand their finance team. This Management Accountant role is crucial to the company's progression and is a brand-new position

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background, a sharp eye for detail, and a proactive approach to financial management. If you enjoy being part of a team and contributing to business growth, this is the role for you.Reporting to the Finance Director you will prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring everything is accurate and in line with accounting standards, whilst taking charge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure effective financial planning and performance monitoring. You will help prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders, and support financial decision-making by providing clear insights into financial performance, costs, and profitability. You will also be responsible for monitoring cash flow, reconciling accounts, and maintain financial records. You will identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the business, and assist with year-end audits and work with external outsourcing to ensure a smooth process.You will business partner with other departments, providing financial guidance to ensure we're all aligned with business goals, and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

To be considered for this role you will:* Have experience in a management accounting role, with a solid grasp of accounting principles and practices.* Be Part Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or QBE * Have used accounting software such as Xero and Excel * Have strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.* Possess excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.* Be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.* Have knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.We're looking for someone who can navigate the dynamic nature of a scaling organisation therefore the ideal candidate will be ambitious to grow with the company.What's on offer?
