My client, one of the north west's best known Financial Services institutions, is looking to hire a Treasury Reporting Accountant to join their Lancashire head office on a hybrid basis. A background in banking/financial services is key for this position.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for preparing Treasury ALM reporting and ensuring regulatory returns are completed in accordance with the appropriate accounting, statutory and regulatory requirements.

You will also undertake liquidity, funding and derivative dealing on behalf of the organisation.

What you'll do:

As a Treasury Reporting Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining financial stability within the organisation. Your excellent organisational skills will be utilised as you prepare ALM reports, manage surplus funds, raise wholesale funding when necessary, and ensure all regulatory returns are accurately produced and submitted. Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you maintain up-to-date reporting software and assist in the preparation of annual reports. This role provides an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

  • Prepare all ALM reports for inclusion in the ALCo reporting and regulatory returns.
  • Undertake liquidity, funding and derivative dealing in line with the policies laid out in the Board's Financial Risk Management Policy.
  • Ensure that all Treasury Dealing files are updated on a daily basis.
  • Manage the Ssurplus funds within pre-determined limits.
  • Raise wholesale funding as necessary, ensuring that all exposures are within pre-determined limits.
  • Ensure all regulatory returns and requests for financial data are accurately produced and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date reporting software and ensure a robust software testing framework is in place.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Previous experience in financial services and/or banking
  • Strong understanding of key regulatory requirements within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with Treasury core systems, particularly ALMIS.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Focused on continuous improvement.
