Assistant Management Accountant - Chorley - Permanent - Upto £32k per annum (DOE)

We are excited to be working with this market leading company who off study support, they are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant due to an internal promotion. Joining their office in Chorley, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a career with a growing company who are heavily focused on staff engagement. This is a hands-on, busy office environment working within the Finance team and supporting the business with financial reporting, bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation and payroll, plus assisting with sales and purchase ledger.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing and managing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounts standard
  • Reconciling balance sheets and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
  • Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts to support financial planning
  • Supporting sales and purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing
  • Assisting with VAT return preparations, ensuring compliance with regulations and submissions deadlines
  • Supporting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes
  • Assisting with payroll processing, including verifying hours, ensuring accurate deductions for 40 staff
  • Helping to streamline financial processes and improving efficiency in reporting
  • Assisting with project work such as the planned implementation of a new finance system

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Thursday (8:30pm - 5pm)
  • Friday (8:30am - 1:30pm)

The ideal candidate will be part qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent, possess strong technical accounting skills and have the ability to work independently.
